Profile
I am a London-based artist, interested especially in abstract art which tends toward minimalism. As the spontaneity of the gesture takes over, a meditative state emerges leaving emptiness dialoguing with plenitude. I employ small strokes to create large entanglements, all essentially in sync with each other, no matter how far apart they are. The blanks are not an inert presence, they are the breathing spaces.
Experience
I fully embraced being an artist in 2020, and have since then been branching out and exploring different mediums, always keeping an emphasis on the abstract and how different people can always bring their own interpretation to the same work of art.
Gallery
I am represented by the The Bakery Art Gallery, an artist-run gallery in a 19th century bakery on Portobello Road, Notting Hill, London.
Tools
I am specialised primarily in ink on handmade paper, reproducing the millennial gesture of dipping the nib in the inkwell. Physical proximity to the artwork is essential for grasping the properties of the densely positioned swishes and flicks, so that you too can get lost in the artwork.
I also enjoy branching out and exploring other mediums of art, including oil and acrylic paint. All mediums have their purpose, and each can contribute uniquely to the composition of the artwork.
